HeadacheMD is a network of licensed practices that employ Dr. Blake's method for the diagnosis and treatment of headaches and neck pain due to nerve compression. These headaches can present as chronic migraine, chronic tension, or cervicogenic headache; targeted medical treatments are often helpful, and for those patients who do not experience reduction, nerve decompression surgery may be necessary.
Dr. Blake has worked closely with plastic surgeon Dr. Carlton Perry, who has operated on hundreds of Dr. Blake's patients, with sustained reduction in headaches experienced in over 75% of patients.
She and Dr. Perry have contributed to scientific research proving the existance of abnormalities on the outside of the head in people with occipital nerve compression.
Dr.Blake personally trains all Headache Medicine physicians located at headacheMD medical practices in the diagnosis and treatment, both non-surgical and surgical, of nerve compression headache.
The goal of the network is to reach more refractory headache patients globally in order to identify headaches due to nerve compression, and, if indicated, to consider the option of surgery, either in Houston with Dr. Perry or with a local, experienced surgeon.
